The Fifth Let-Down

June 06, 2008, Friday

-$18.00 on 16,000 shares traded. Am I getting the boot anytime now? No, seriously. Inasmuch as this week was a learning experience taken to a whole new level, the outcome was still horrible. I can’t hide that.

However, I feel more confident now than I had ever been. I’ve never traded with such focus as today. What I clearly lacked, however, was discipline to trim down my losses, and sheer luck to let my positions fly.

Today, I already hit rock-bottom at -$36 by 2:30pm, and I was thinking that it could only get worse. But I managed to pull it back, indeed exasperatingly, to $4.50, much to my excitement. Then I got struck by lightning, a string of -$9, -$8, and -$4, to pull me back to terra firma.

What the mother market giveth, mother market taketh away.
